Retail Merchants of Hawaii, a non-profit trade orginization dedicated to the growth and development of the retail industry in Hawaii, has announced changes to its leadership. The Retail Merchants Board, Hawaii, appoointed Sheri Sakamoto to president on July 22 and Mark Storfer chairman of the board on August 29, following the retirements of CarolPregill, former RMH president, and Gayle Yamada, former RMH board chair.

Retail Merchants of Hawaii and Reynolds Recycling Launch
Project Graduation Recycling Competition
Honolulu – (Mar. 5, 2014) – Beginning March 7 through April 15, 2014, high schools statewide will compete in a recycling competition to win cash prizes towards their Project Graduation event. Schools that redeem the most HI-5 beverage containers by dollar value will be awarded up to $3,000.
“Together with Reynolds Recycling, we continue to promote a cleaner and “greener” Hawaii,” said Retail Merchants of Hawaii (RMH) President Sheri Sakamoto. “Students, family, and friends can bring their HI-5 beverage containers to any Reynolds Recycling location statewide.”
This year the following prizes will be awarded:
Grand Prize: $3,000 for the school that recycles the most containers by dollar value
Second Place Prize: $1,500 for the school that recycles the second most containers by dollar value
Wild Card: $1,000 – all other participating schools are eligible for the wild card drawing
